Pangea-Cultivate Our Cultures
10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Saturday, November 18
Hjemkomst Center, Moorhead
Pangea is an experience for all the senses: a chorus of colors, flowing fringe, a bite of spice, lace and wood in turn, traditional movement and the sounds of modern music. Best of all, admission is free.
Discover delicious foods from around the world, move with live music and dancing demonstrations, encounter forms of art and craft, purchase imported goods, and learn from area educators and organizers sharing stories of diversity and community in Fargo-Moorhead.
Included are performances by the Buffalo River Singers and Dancers, Hung Ngo, Emy Miller, Poco Fuego, Race Hoglund, Ricot Aladin, Selena Rios, the St. John the Divine Choir, Bhutanese and Nepalese Dancers, and stories from Green Card Voices. Tour a taste of the world including Danish, Southeast Asian, Filipino, Mexican, West African, Haitian, French-Canadian, Iraqi, German, and Somalian foods (as well as spiced Indian chai).
Overflow parking is available in the Moorhead Center Mall with shuttles running to the Hjemkomst Center every 15 minutes. For more details, contact HCSCC Communications Coordinator Davin Wait at (218) 299-5511, ext. 6733, or davin (dot) firstname.lastname@example.org.
