Welcome Week Fargo Moorhead

FARRMS with NDSU Extension and Growing Together will host a Community Garden Workshop Wednesday, March 14 at LSS from 1PM to 5PM.

If you have a current community garden or considering starting a community garden this workshop is for you. Growing Together’s highly successful model of communal gardening has inspired groups around the region to do the same in their own communities. This kind of communal gardening offers advantages over the individual community garden plots: assured weed control, Inter-generational and cross-cultural skill transfer, higher yields, and Social relationships that strengthen community.

Growing Together is in their 12th year of community gardening and have helped numerous gardens start in our area. Become a part of this variation of community gardening as we create a movement. Mentors will help support your gardening efforts through the season. Learn how to form a leadership team and sidestep common challenges from experts working for over a decade.
