The purpose to celebrate construction, bring people together and encourage people to use the greenspace for their own gatherings, reflection and play.

One attendee said, “The event was fantastic! Lots of people and engagement and fun activities!”

A variety of ecological and cultural activities were planned characterizing prairie for the people and to show the importance of community connection, nature, natural resources and the creative expressions of cultures.
